While waiting in the Jacksonville airport for our connection to Philadelphia. I watched a little Asian boy playing with his parents. He had such a hearty laugh and was having a great time. I watched him interact with his parents and pointed them out to Troy. I couldn't get the courage up to go and ask them where they had adopted from for fear of offending them.
After deplaning in Philly, we were regrouping and trying to find our gate to Venice and they were stopped at the same point trying to get their son in his stroller. So I got up my courage and asked if they had adopted and if so, from where. The Mother said yes, from Taiwan. I got so excited and said we're on the waiting list for Taiwan. We had a brief conversation about the orphanages and they said they had come home 2 months ago and were very happy. We've only met one other child from Taiwan and this experience made me so happy.
