Back from Italy

We just got back from Italy last night at 1 am and my brain is relative mush since I had to work today at 8 am and I haven't been able to sleep since Wednesday night....but just had to take a moment to post a quick update.

While in Italy, we checked our email as often as possible. It was very slow going and we tried to sneak on late at night when it was free and we could also take advantage of the time difference from the States. (otherwise it was 1 euro every 15 minutes and considering how slow it was...it could get very expensive.)

Anyway, Monday night we received an email from our adoption agency saying they had a healthy baby for us to consider. She was born 6/15 and they were just waiting on the orphanage supervisor to return to the office Tuesday to give her approval and then we would receive pictures. We shared the joyous news with those in our travel group and then patiently waited to recheck the email Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday...but no more news.

It was terribly confusing in my jetlagged brain to figure out when to check the email. Italy is 6 hours ahead of us, Utah 3 hours behind us and Taiwan 13 hours ahead of us.

We called our adoption agency while waiting in the airport in Philadelphia on Thursday on our way back and she said she still had no more news.

The important thing is we may have found our Kaylee and hopefully we'll have photos any day.
