Travel Plans Firming Up

Troy has been working with our travel agent Todd to make our best travel arrangements to get to Kaylee on time for our appointment at St. Lucy Center. We have decided it would be better to leave a day earlier to alleviate some of the stress of the possibility of one of our legs of the journey being delayed. We will be leaving Friday, January 5.

As it looks now, we will be flying Tampa to Atlanta to San Francisco to Hong Kong (to refuel) and finally to Taipei. I believe on the way back we will stop in Dallas, which means if Aunt Beth wanted to be at the airport she could be the first family member to meet Kaylee. Our final destination on the return will be Tampa, where Kaylee will get to meet 2 of her cousins - Ana Julia and Alex and Aunt Katiane and Uncle Brett.

Troy was able to get us on Eva Deluxe for the longest leg of our journey and we do have the basinette confirmed for the return trip. The only area of concern is our flight to Atlanta, which only leaves us 39 minutes between flights. (Let's hope our luggage can keep up with us) After that we have some very long layovers, which will be helpful considering we will be changing airlines. With all these legs and airline switching, there's also the probability of lost luggage. I have never fared well in this area, so we will try to pack as many necessities as possible on our carryons.

With us arriving a bit earlier, we should be able to make it to the Jade Market. I've been told it's a great place to shop for authentic Asian memorabilia and is only open on the weekend.

Only 22 days until we leave for our baby!

How exciting! Make sure you read up on the carryon restrictions on liquids - even makeup is included! We are packing for our US trip the 1 liter bag for liquids is throwing me for a loop!
