Finally in Gainesville

It was with great joy that we arrived home in Gainesville late Saturday night. We had a welcome baby sign, beautiful pink roses and a bottle of wine waiting for us. The next few days are a blur as we got to meet a few people and also tried to work through this jetlag. Troy went back to work on Monday, so it's been Kaylee and I together everyday.

The time difference is really wreaking havoc on Kaylee's clock. She wants to sleep most of the day and party all night. We've been trying to wake her throughout the day, but they are very deep naps and also make for a cranky Kaylee when you do manage to wake her. She then wakes about 1 or 2 am each night for a few hours.

Troy and I cannot manage to stay awake past 8 pm. He's passing out with Kaylee usually much earlier. We'll work through it. In the meantime, we are having a wonderful time with Kaylee and love her so much.

Hi Tammy,
Glad to see you made it home safely! Good luck with changing Kaylee's little internal clock, I remember that well! It took us keeping poor Maya awake during the day for two days straight to avoid the all night party she was having when she got home. It will pass, just remember to try to sleep when she does so you don't get so worn down you get sick...that is no fun at all! Can't wait to hear more when you are a little more rested.
Congrats! She is finally here!
