Kaylee had her second doctor's visit today - the main purpose being catching her up on her immunizations. We gave her pediatrician her Taiwanese vaccination records earlier and she said they looked in order. If they were accurate, Kaylee would only need 2 shots. The doctor wanted to draw some blood to test for anitbodies to be certain however. Unfortunately, Kaylee's veins went into hiding and did not cooperate enough for blood samples. I hated to see her so upset. The nurse, Troy and I sang several verses of "The Wheels on the Bus" to try to calm her down. After poking Kaylee several times on each arm, the doctor decided to just give her the 2 shots we knew she hadn't had and try to test for the others at her next appointment.
On the statistic side, Kaylee weighed in at 15 lbs. 12 oz, which puts her at the 25th percentile in weight. She is 26 3/4", which puts her at the 75th percentile for height. So she's skinny and tall. Her head circumference is at the 50th percentile. Overall she's doing great. We just need to work on getting her to sit up on her own.
Here are some shots from her day before the visit. She enjoyed a little bit of Baby Einstein's Noah and also practicing sitting up.
