Tonight we will review all of our contracts and power of attorney papers, getting them in order to be notarized tomorrow. Troy and I will meet the notary at lunch for very careful notarization. I don't envy her. Kaylee's adoption contract is in Mandarin and we have been warned to be very careful about making mistakes, as it would be quite difficult and delay our process tremendously to have to send the contract back to Taiwan for the birth Mother and other's signatures. Obviously, no whiteout allowed.
Then we will make our necessary copies and bind the paperwork. Then after work we're off for Miami....a mere 6-hour drive. We'll be up bright and early Thursday morning to be at the TECO Office when they open at 9 am. If all goes well, we should have our documents that afternoon and then start the 6-hour drive home.
We are paying for 24-hour expedition, which means they could take until Friday morning to complete our paperwork. Either way, hopefully it will be done this week. We have a FedEx envelope addressed and ready to mail our completed documents back to FFC so they can then be sent off to the Taiwan Court System.
Pray for us for safe travels and a smooth process with the notarization and translation of our documents.
