Troy and I met for lunch Wednesday at his office to get our TECO documents notarized. We had 3 Chinese contracts, 4 Powers of Attorney, our adoption agency contract and our homestudy.
We had been instructed to be very careful with the Chinese contracts in particular, as they had the birth Mother's signature and obviously would cause us quite a delay to have to replace them. We had a sample contract that showed us where we were supposed to insert our names, signature and notary information amongst all the Mandarin characters. I made myself so nervous, I almost misspelled my own name.
We got everthing signed and stamped and checked and doublechecked that we hadn't missed anything. I later headed to Office Depot to make 3 sets of copies of everything. Got it all organized and we should be ready to go.
