The whole hype of my birthday and waiting for our referral reminds me of when I was waiting and expecting Troy to propose to me. I'm thinking of one Christmas in particular when I got a Samsonite suitcase instead of an engagement ring.
So now, like the proposal, I have no expectations of when our referral will come. Hopefully, I'll be just as surprised when it does arrive.

Hmmm....luggage. My comparable unexpected gift was a big pink candle. Rob even kneeled down when he was reaching for it where he had hidden it nearby. Ack!
It is a good analogy to think about now as we're both waiting for news on our little ones. Everything worked out in time!
