I wanted to check in with our adoption agency to see if our homestudy had been officially translated to Mandarin and also to tell them about our upcoming travel plans to let them know when we'd be out of touch. I checked our blog to see when I had contacted them last and as it had been over 2 weeks, didn't feel like I was being a pest.
I found out our homestudy was completely translated and waiting in our file with our other documents.
Then Laura told me that she had a feeling referrals would be coming any day. I asked her if she just got a "gut feeling" when referrals would come and she said kind of. I then gave her our upcoming travel dates so they could be marked in our file and we will make sure they have contact information for us as well as friends and family, so we don't miss any important news.
She said she will be traveling to Taiwan 8/24-9/2, but hopes to have some referrals before she travels. She had talked with the orphanages and referrals are definitely coming. That is such exciting news!!! I told her my only birthday wish was a referral, so technically she still had a month, but sooner was definitely better.
Our referral photos and medical information will come via email and also will be mailed in hard copy format for us to sign-off on. I called our pediatrician to get an email address so we can forward Kaylee's information for review as soon as we receive it.
If we get our referral in the next few weeks, Kaylee and our brand-new nephew Alex will be very, very close in age. I can't wait to find out what her birthdate is.

Any word on how long the process will currently take to "bring her home" once the CALL is received? Pamela
Once we accept our referral, the court process should take 4-6 months and then we can bring Kaylee home.
