Got an update from our coordinator today and she confirmed we are #1 on the waiting list. So next healthy baby girl is ours!!
Our homestudy is currently being translated into Mandarin and should be done this week or early next week, at which time the orphanage will accept us to be matched. After we accept our referral, we will then receive adoption contracts and power of attorney forms, which allow the agency rep to act on our behalf in the courts in Taiwan. We will have to take those to the Taiwan Embassy in Miami.
Then we start the official court process in Taiwan.
