And Then There Was One

Troy would argue that this should be on our daily blog, but since I am the publisher I'm putting it here. Monday night Simon came up and laid with me in the bed, which I noted as odd (and welcome) as he hasn't done that in a long time. He hasn't been feeling well and I had made an appointment for him at the Vet for Tuesday morning.

He was diagnosed with kidney failure and would have needed daily and then several times weekly IV treatments. We had to put him down after work Tuesday. I've had him for 16 years, 10 of which he has hid from Troy.

Simon (aka Sir Pissalot) was always our problem child, but I still loved him. I miss him already. We stayed with him through the procedure and he was very brave. We drank some really bad wine in his honor (ok, I picked it for the name....look closely.)

That leaves only one baby remaining until Kaylee arrives. Little Miss Shera, almost 18, deaf, 7 lbs and still going strong. I sure hope she makes it to meet Kaylee. Take a look below at my brave girl (and only cat) at Troy's Pets At Work Day.
