Medical Letter Complete

Friday I spent my lunch hour waiting in the doctor's office hoping to get my medical letters signed and notarized. I was prompt for my 11:45 am appointment, but they were running an hour behind. I started to get worried that the notary would not be available at the credit union when I ever got in for my appointment so called her to tell her they were running behind and I apologized, but would get there as soon as I could. She said not to worry and she would be ready for me, it was worth the wait.

I was finally called into the doctor's office and no apologies were made for the wait. I made sure to bring our previous letter so he could see everything was the same except for the date. He asked me why I needed the letters done again and why our agency went out of business. Then he said let's get this done. I stopped at the nurse's station, but he said I'd have to come back and pay as he had other things to do.

We got to the credit union and the notary was there waiting for us. Two flicks of his wrist and his portion was done. The notary carefully notarized both letters and then when I went to pay she refused payment and said save it for something for Kaylee. What a blessing she was! I thanked her profusely and went back upstairs to pay for my appointment.

The nurse didn't have my paperwork done and said she'd have to mail it to me....oh well, at least I'm done with this piece and that makes the last dossier document we have to do!

Wow, is he a good doctor? You'd think he would be happy for you. Oh well, some people just arent' happy people. It was so nice for the notary to do that for it, it was a small gesture, but huge at the same time.

I'll be changing doctors the 1st of the year. I've gone there for 18 years and they know how important this is and the nurse made me feel like such a nuisance to try to coordinate this. Thankfully the notary was wonderful and willing to go the extra mile to make sure we got what we needed.
