Adoptive Family Pool Party

We had a great weekend and started it off with a pool party with our Chosen Families Adoption Group. Troy was the usual kid magnet and had a good time tossing around kids in the pool. He got an assembly line going and even unknowingly tossed one little guy who didn't know how to swim. It turned out ok, just startled the little guy (and big guy too) a bit. Before we knew it he was back in line for more.

The other parents were happy to take a break, while the only "in process" couple babysat. I told them to take advantage of it while they could. I think my favorite is a little boy who recently came home from Russia. He is such a cutie and as his Momma says always has his "communist scowl".

It was a good time and we really enjoy the people. It's interesting to talk with them about their various domestic and international experiences. We did meet a couple who were devastated by a disrupted domestic adoption, which reconfirmed to me that international is the way to go.
