We're taking off from work Monday to have our fingerprints taken by the FBI in the Homeland Security Office. This is the last step to get our I-171 form which approves us to parent internationally.
I called the CIS Office today to make sure they were open on Monday and after over 20 minutes of telephone prompts reached a live person who proceeded to ask me questions before I could ask my simple "Are you open Monday?"
They are and then I asked about the current approval times and they said they are currently working on applications that were filed in February, which would mean our approval would take 60-90 days. Let's hope not and let's hope our fingerprints take clearly.

Tammy that can't be right. You're going to the one in Jax right? We were fingerprinted March 24th and have our approval and that's after they wanted more info from us remember. Maybe that's just what they have to say for worst case scenario. And about the clear fingerprints, that had to do each of my fingers several times, but they'll get it right before you leave. Good Luck.
Yes, we're going to Jax. That's awesome! I was hoping it was just the standard answer they gave. Kind of like that notice we got from them that said don't contact us unless you haven't heard from us by September (we received that in April) and then shortly thereafter got some more information from them.
