Comfort on the Cry Home

Rough day at work. Didn't tell anyone our agency woes and managed to keep the tears back until the ride home for lunch. Hard to drive and cry, but I managed :) I was comforted by this song I heard on the radio - Praise Your Name Through this Storm by Casting Crowns. Here are the lyrics:

I was sure by now God
You would have reached down
And wiped our tears away
Stepped in and saved the day
But once again, I say "Amen"
and it's still raining

As the thunder rolls
I barely hear You whisper through the rain
"I'm with you"
And as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the God
Who gives and takes away

Chorus:
I'll praise You in this storm
And I will lift my hands
For You are who You are
No matter where I am
Every tear I've cried
You hold in Your hand
You never left my side
And though my heart is torn
I will praise You in this storm

I remember when
I stumbled in the wind
You heard my cry
You raised me up again
My strength is almost gone
How can I carry on
If I can't find You

As the thunder rolls
I barely hear You whisper through the rain
"I'm with you"
And as Your mercy falls
I raise my hands and praise the God
Who gives and takes away

Chorus

I lift my eyes unto the hills
Where does my help come from?
My help comes from the Lord
The Maker of Heaven and Earth

Tammy I am sure that nothing I say can comfort you right now. The lyrics to that song are so true. I don't understand all that we have had to deal with, but I know without a doubt that there is a reason for all that has happened. I may not know the reason, I may never understand that reason, I may not know why we have had to shed so many tears, but I trust in God and trust that he has a plan that is so much larger than anything we could ever possibly fathom. His devine plan is right. I will be thinking of you and and your dh tonight...

Thanks, Ann. I don't understand either. The song came at the perfect moment and was so beautiful I had to find and share it. It was the first time I heard it.
